GARY JOHN (QWALQWALTEN)

CHAIRPERSON

Garry is Tsal’alhmec, born and raised in the community of Tsal’alh. His Parents are Samuel John (Pabby) and Matilda John (Tillie), and has several brothers and sisters. He has a strong cultural and traditional background and is actively involved community and nation gatherings, most times as a lead drummer/singer.

Garry has served as Tsal’alh Chief and a member of Council for several terms, and was involved in key negotiations on behalf of the community. He was instrumental in several Tsal’alh agreements with the Provincial and Federal Governments, included the Cut-off Claims. BC Rail Shuttle Service, BC hydro -St’at’imc Nation and community agreements. Garry has served as a Chair and representative at the St’at’imc Chiefs’ Council. Garry will be serving as a TDC Board Member and has been asked to sit as chair of the board.

AMORY ADRIAN

SECRETARY

Amory Adrian serves as the Secretary for the TDC, leveraging his extensive expertise in international relations to steer the organization towards impactful global development initiatives. With a sharp focus on efficient administrative operations and a keen eye for strategic communication, Adrian has fostered an environment of transparency and collaboration within the TDC, facilitating the successful implementation of sustainable development projects across diverse regions. His adept leadership and unwavering commitment to fostering cross-border partnerships have solidified his position as a respected and influential figure within the international development landscape.

MORRIS PROSSER

Treasurer

Rep'rep'sken (Morris Prosser) is Tsal'alhmec. He grew up half his life in Tsal'alh and the other half in Sto:lo Territory in the Fraser Valley. He is the Son of Monica Shields and Mike Prosser and the Grandson of Clara Shields (Bull) and Fred Shields. Morris obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of the Fraser Valley in 2016. Morris served previously on the Board of TDC and also served on the Board of St'at'imc Eco Resources. Morris' experience is in Economic development, Title & Rights and Policy. Morris currently works for the BC Provincial Government.

CLIFFORD CASPER

Director

Cliff Casper is a Tsal’alhmec, and has served as a Council member for 15+ years. Cliff currently works for the Tsal’alh Government as the Housing and Infrastructure manager. Cliff will soon complete his courses at SFU, and will have an MBA. He has served as a member of the St’at’imc Government Services, St’at’imc Tribal Police Board, and many other committees in the community. Cliff is committed to continued work for the Community and working towards the Vision, Mission and Goals that have been identified in both the Tsa;’alh Government and Tsal’alh Development Corporations Startegic plans.

TRAVIS PETERS

Director

50 years of age. Married and has 3 beautiful children. A St’at’imc First Nation, from the N’Quatqua Community. Live and reside in Lillooet BC since 1997. Forestry Diploma out of NVIT 1995-1997. 20+ years Forestry experience, employed with Ainsworth Lumber 1997-2009 and Aspen Planers 2009-2015. Started my own consulting company Pqus Nkwyt’usten’ Resources Ltd (Eagle Eye Resources) in 2015 and hold several certificates. 15+ years experience researching St’at’imc cultural history throughout the territory. Currently employed with the Ts’kw’aylaxw First Nation community as their Natural Resource Forestry Manager (2017-present). Currently a board member on Lillooet Regional Invasive Species Society, a member of the Interior Salish Fire Keepers Society. 1999-2013 Coached minor hockey and sat on the board as a member, Risk Manager, Ref in Chief. Enjoy being out on the land.
